When families in Franklin think about education, they want two things: excellent schools and affordable taxes. That’s why Nita Villuri is stepping up to run for the Franklin Township Board of Education. With experience in the classroom and in business, she understands how to balance the needs of students with the realities facing local taxpayers.

Nita is a full-time substitute teacher at Franklin Middle School, giving her daily, firsthand insight into what our students need to succeed. Before that, she taught math at both charter and Catholic schools, supported by a Master’s Degree in Mathematics. She knows that strong programs in STEM and core academics are the foundation of opportunity for every child.

Beyond the classroom, Nita has also been a small business owner and director of a Kumon Math and Reading Center. There, she managed staff, oversaw budgets, and helped students grow through personalized instruction. That combination of fiscal discipline and educational leadership makes her uniquely qualified to serve on the Board of Education.

Nita knows how every tax dollar impacts families — because she has lived it as both a parent and a business owner. She is committed to ensuring Franklin schools remain excellent while also holding the line on spending.

“Our students deserve the very best, but that doesn’t mean blank checks,” Nita says. “With smart budgeting and accountability, we can give our children top-notch education without overburdening families.”

This November, Nita Villuri is ready to bring her experience, balance, and dedication to the BOE — delivering results for both students and taxpayers.
